Executive Officer – Transit Oriented Communities, LA Metro
Jenna Hornstock joined Metro’s Countywide Planning and Development Department in 2011. She manages Metro’s Joint Development program, with over 15 active project sites; the Parking Management program, which is in the process of rethinking Metro’s approach to transit parking; the development and implementation of the $3 billion Union Station Master Plan; and oversees other TOD efforts including the $26 million TOD Planning Grant program.
Prior to joining Metro, Ms. Hornstock spent nearly 7 years at the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles (CRA/LA), most recently as Chief of Strategic Planning and Economic Development. During her tenure at CRA/LA, Jenna worked directly on financing and implementation of affordable housing, infrastructure, industrial and retail development projects, and secured grants for open space, healthy food access and land use planning. Prior to CRA/LA, she worked for a nonprofit affordable housing developer and on the Housing and Business Team of former Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn.
She holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a BA in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley. Jenna is Assistant Chair of ULI’s Public Private Partnership National Product Council and is a Public Director for the Los Angeles Chapter of the AIA/LA. Jenna lives in Silverlake with her son and practices yoga whenever time permits.
