SVP & Head of Group Real Estate Americas, WPP
Bruce MacAffer has been a corporate real estate professional for over 20 years. Currently he is Senior Vice President of Group Real Estate, Americas over seeing real estate portfolio management and strategy for WPP, the global leader in marketing communications services, on their 9 million square foot Americas real estate portfolio. Bruce has also transacted for WPP over 5.0 million square feet with over $3.5 billion in aggregate value. In New York City, two of his WPP headquarters’ relocation projects, Grey Advertising to Madison Square and Ogilvy & Mather to the Far West side, garnered many awards including REBNY’s “Deal of the Year” awards in 2007 and 2008. Recently he was responsible for Young & Rubicam’s 375,000 square foot lease and condominium for their headquarters at 3 Columbus Circle, as well as GroupM’s new 516,000 SF lease anchoring the 3 World Trade Center project.
Previous to his 12 years at WPP, Bruce managed international real estate for Citigroup, regionalizing real estate operations, developing projects and managing transactions across Asia and Latin America.
Bruce graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts, Magna cum Laude in Architecture. He earned his MBA from Columbia University where he also studied Urban Planning. He is a licensed New York State real estate broker. Bruce is a member Manhattan Community Board 4, as well as a board member of the Times Square Alliance.
